Cybersecurity (Encryption) Product Manager | Houston, Dallas, or Austin, TX

We have been engaged by a Cybersecurity Encryption Firm to find a Sr. Product Manager to be based out of Houston, Dallas or Austin, TX.  This product manager will be focused on building and enhancing solutions around 3 product areas:
  • Data at Rest Encryption
  • Data in Transit Encryption
  • Encryption Key and Certification Management
This is a military grade encryption technology which has just been released to the public and has an extremely high potential.  They have already seen tremendous uptake as they are currently adding on about 2,000 IoT devices per day. 
This is a rapidly growing business and this is a full-time perm role with benefits and possible equity.

The role is to own the vision, functionality, and go-to-market success of our client’s industry-leading cyber security product. The Product Manager will work with customers, prospects, industry leaders, analysts, partners, and stakeholders to define and execute a cyber security product roadmap that makes plants within the power and process industries safer and more profitable.

The Product Manager is responsible for the entire product lifecycle from inception to sunset. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Establish product vision and market requirements. 
  • Define and present a business case for product growth and investment. 
  • Make partnership and build-versus-buy recommendations that fill product gaps or create greater value within the cyber security ecosystem. 
  • Establish and maintain a product roadmap. 
  • Develop persona-based use cases that represent customer needs, usage, and value. 
  • Define whole product requirements that cover core features and functions, usability, scalability, internationalization, testing, documentation, implementation, and more. 
  • Work closely with the Development team to ensure on-time, quality delivery of software releases. 
  • Manage go-to-market activities for minor and major releases of product. 
  • Develop and maintain competitive analysis and positioning. 
  • Support Sales and Marketing activities in the creation of market analysis, product and services pricing, competitive analysis, white papers, case studies, webinars, seminars, website content, and training materials. 
  • Support the Product Advisory Board. 
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales, and engineering teams. 
  • Manage successful Beta Programs with customers. 
Job Requirements:
  • Three or more years of experience in cybersecurity product management at a technology company 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or ten years’ experience in a related field in lieu of degree 
  • Software Development Life Cycle knowledge and experience 
  • Customer-focused and excellent follow through abilities 
  • Significant hands-on Cybersecurity experience
  • Cybersecurity certifications preferred, i.e., Security+ or CISSP or similar 
  • Knowledge of or experience with cyber security standards or regulations such as NERC CIP, NIST, ISA-27001/2, or IEC-62443 is a plus 
  • Experience working within or with large enterprise/global companies and / or federal systems.   
  • Up to 15% travel
